Founded in 2019 by Journalist Arinaitwe Rugyendo, ResearchFinds News provides 24-hour news coverage of research findings and innovations from any academic discipline to benefit a non-academic audience, particularly the policy makers and the masses.
At ResearchFinds News, we provide 24-hour news generation from research findings on any subject to benefit a non-academic audience, particularly the masses.
Using a newsification model to remove academic jargon from technical research and scholarly texts, we aim to take unknown research findings to the masses, thereby bridging the gap between academia, policymaking, and industry.
By combining academic rigor with journalistic flair, we promote public understanding of scientific research by tirelessly working to cause the effective communication of research findings within the context of enhancing science communication in Uganda and the region. We believe that easy and accurate communication of research findings through a media lens will support the effective communication of research to policymakers, industry, and the masses.
Ultimately, this democratization of access to research products will make knowledge opportunities universal and sustainable, enhance socio-economic development, and solve disease and climate issues on the continent of Africa, which according to the World Economic Forum (2023), contributes about 2% of global research.
