Kampala, Uganda – In a bold move to revolutionize scientific inquiry in Uganda, BioCosmos Uganda has organized a free international course in intelligence design for university lecturers and graduate students.
“BioCosmos Uganda is calling for applications from university lecturers, master’s degree students, and PhD candidates to attend the International Summer Seminar on Intelligent Design,” announced Mr. Isaac Mutono, a doctoral fellow from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Makerere University, last week.
The Discovery Institute in Seattle will offer this prestigious course from May to July 2025.
BioCosmos Uganda is a registered trust foundation dedicated to promoting the theory of Intelligent Design. It aims to present convincing evidence for intelligent agency in nature and to offer educational programs that provide sufficient evidence for the origin of life and the universe.
Mr. Mutono, a key figure behind this initiative, emphasized the need for fresh perspectives in scientific research.
“Our goal is to propel Intelligent Design as a transformative approach that challenges conventional theories and encourages critical thinking,” he told this news website yesterday.
He said BioCosmos Foundation is therefore recruiting applicants to attend the Online International Summer Seminar on Intelligent Design in Seattle.
“This course is free and will allow participants to interact with Intelligent Design scientists who think there is a need to shift from Darwinism,” he added.
He argued that the online course will provide an opportunity for experts and budding career researchers to taste on the shift from the traditional Darwinian Theory, which has dominated educational curricula since the 1600s, towards the innovative science of Intelligent Design.

Reason for Recruitment
Mr. Mutono further told this news website that Ugandan lecturers wanted to have a kind of diploma/certification as an approval for their involvement in a formal training required for the teaching of Intelligent Design as a stand-alone course, as an integrated course into the curriculum, or as a short course.
The benefits of one becoming an Intelligent Design Theorist are enormous and include; unique lecturers, researchers, STEM educators, critical thinkers, educational consultants specializing in Intelligent Design who are also in high demand, intelligent design experts, public speakers, and advocates for Intelligent Design.
