Founded in 2019 by Journalist Arinaitwe Rugyendo, ResearchFinds News provides 24-hour news coverage of research findings and innovations from any academic discipline to benefit a non-academic audience, particularly policymakers, industry and the masses.
At ResearchFinds News, we aim to democratize access to research products by using a newsification model that removes academic jargon from technical research and scholarly texts. 
This approach bridges the gap between academia, policymaking, and industry by making complex research findings accessible and understandable to a broader audience.
By combining academic rigor with journalistic flair, we promote public understanding of scientific research and enhance science communication in Uganda and the region. We believe that easy and accurate communication of research findings through a media lens will support effective communication to policymakers, industry, and the masses.
Ultimately, this democratization of access to research products will make knowledge opportunities universal and sustainable, enhance socio-economic development, and address issues such as disease and climate change on the continent of Africa, which, according to the World Economic Forum (2023), contributes about 2% of global research.
